Cyanotypes were traditionally used by engineers well into the 20th century as a drawings - referred to as Blue Prints. By mixing ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyandie you can sensitize paper (and other materials) to react to UV light.
This limited edition print (only 200 printed in 2021) started as a vector drawing of the Licking County Courthouse. Then using a blank sheet of Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Paper made light sensitive by mixing and applying the chemicals listed above, each print took 13 minutes under UV light to expose. A quick rinse reveals the final image on the paper, preserving the copy of the original vector drawing.
