Licking County has been moving this idea along for decades, and we couldn't be more proud of our apple orchards. Pie, jam, cider, or just simply pick it and eat it the same day. We'll let you decide.
With an abundance of orchards to choose from, each one having a unique personality and wide varieties to fit every taste, it's not easy to make a choice. Our suggestion would be to visit them all!
Charlies Apples
Charlie’s Apples is a small, commercial organic apple orchard located in Fredonia, Ohio. They specialize in growing Certified Organic apples, as well producing hand-pressed unpasteurized cider. Originally founded in 1995 by Charles Fritsch, it is now managed and operated by two brothers, Zach, and Seth Dobbelaer. The brothers are passionate about providing a high quality, delicious and certified organic apple that people from every background can enjoy right here in Licking County. Both apples and cider are available to purchase on location, or by ordering ahead for “U-Pick-Up” via their website.
Brandstool Orchard
Welcome to Branstool Orchards’ farm market. During peach season, the first thing you will notice when you enter their market is the sweet aroma of truly tree-ripened peaches. Accompanying the peaches are apple varieties from all over the world. There is a flavorful apple for every taste. With over 35 unique apple varieties and 26 peach varieties, you can rest assured that you will find something for any occasion. It’s no wonder that all of their apples blend well into a cider.

Discover why the fun begins when you pick Lynd’s! Apples, peaches, pumpkins, corn maze & more! The Farm Market is open August-October with seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Heartland Orchard
Heartland Orchard is located in Thornville. They are open from late July through mid-December. They grow, pick and sell peaches, apples, and pears. They do not offer you-pick. They do allow Christmas tree cutting only.
Legend hills Orchards
Legend Hill Orchard and Family Farm Market is located one mile south of Utica on Reynolds Road in Licking County, Ohio. At Legend Hills Orchard, apples, peaches, plums, strawberries, asparagus, and pine trees (dug or cut) for Christmas and or landscaping are grown and harvested by hand. They also press and market their own fresh apple cider, harvest honey from their bee hives, and sell fresh garden produce such as homegrown sweet corn, tomatoes, cabbage, zucchini, cantaloupe, watermelon, pumpkins, gourds, and Indian Corn in growing season.
