They’re furry. Shaggy. Mangy. Soft.

Cuddly. Energetic. Loud. Reserved.

They’re large and small; black, brown, yellow and white.

In all their diversity — as in ours — is it any wonder that dogs have earned the title of “Man’s best friend”?

Take your favorite outdoor activity, add a dog and you’ve automatically boosted your fun to the next level.
Dogs keep us company, lift our spirits and protect us from harm.
They make us feel loved and accepted, even on the days when we’re not sure our two-footed comrades would do the same.

They encourage us to explore; lead us down paths we’ve never traveled and reassure us that we’ll reach our destination.
Dogs are the perfect loyal companions, and the world would be much less lovable without them.

So as the “Dog Days of Summer” extend into chilly autumn afternoons, let’s make the most of these opportunities to spend time with our four-legged friends.

There are woodsy trails to be explored, open-air markets to be examined, golden fields to be trod upon.
The sun is up; the door is standing open. Grab that leash and go.
