February 9 at 9:30 am - 11:30 am

As a kid, Instructor Susan Klemetti, would make “potions” from plants she found in the forest behind her house and her mom was horrified by the purple pokeberry stains on her clothes! Since then she’s learned a lot more about the ancient art of natural dyeing with plants and can’t wait to share it with her students at the Bryn Du Art Center! Students will investigate the colors produced by common garden plants and items you might find in your very own kitchen cabinets. Students will leave with a dye sample sheet and a special dyed silk treasure pouch. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron.
